Are you passionate about dance and interested in becoming a dance teacher? Our studio is now accepting internship applications for those who want to make a difference today's dance space.

 

Our chosen interns will complete a season of immersive training, shadowing some of the best teachers in the industry. If you're interested, please complete our quick online application.

Description:

 

​Adrenaline Dance of York is accepting applications for our student internship program for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are interested in a future as a dance instructor. Students will work side by side with a teacher and will be assigned to a class that is appropriate for their age, ability, and level of experience. The program runs during the dance season. This is an opportunity for the student to grow. They do not receive compensation for this program.

Guidelines:

  • Student must be 13 years or older or enrolled in a level 3 or above class(es).

  • Students must have danced a minimum of 2 years at Adrenaline Dance of York.

    • ​Other dance experience will be considered as well.​

  • Student takes at least 4 hours of class a week.

  • Student is responsible to contact BOTH the studio and the teacher 24 hours in advance if they will be absent.

  • Students are expected to treat this position like a job. If possible, the intern should find their own replacement if they are absent.

    • Only another student intern may fill the absence.

    • That intern MUST have training in the same genre of dance as the class.

  • Intern must arrive NO LESS THAN 10 minutes before class.

    • If interning for tumbling, they are responsible for having mats ready before the class starts.

  • While in school, in public, or at the dance studio, student is expected to be responsible and respectful representatives of our studio.

  • Student is a positive role model.

  • Student enjoys working with children.

  • Student must respond positively to teacher evaluations and constructive criticism during their time as a student intern.

     

 

*Student interns who have more than 3 unexcused absences will be immediately dismissed from the program.
